Directv Stream / Sound Bar issues

We are having problems with the service and our sound bars. On one TV, the Directv Stream equipment turns off the sound bar every 10-15 minutes (and I did not even link the box to the TV or soundbar). On the other one, I did the link the TV/soundbar to Directv, and now it actually BLOCKS the sound from coming on! I have to turn all of the equipment on and off several times to get the sound to work. Any ideas on how to fix this? (And yes, I have powered down the Directv boxes several times)...

Do you have the audio setting on the dtv stream box set to stereo or surround?

Thanks for the suggestion. I've changed it to 'stereo' and will see if this helps. It was never a problem when using the apps--only when watching the channels featured on Directv programming.
