I am trying to logon to the DIRECTV stream app and I continue to get this message. I can log onto my iPad and my computer with no problems with my username and password, please help

Were you s previous DirecTV satellite user? Using the same credentials? Know issue using same credentials. You need to use different credentials.

I have/had a different log on for DIRECTV satellite and DIRECTV stream. However, username was the same because it was my email address. So what do I do going forward?

Use a different email for the service. 100's of posts on the issue for many months.

It's not a lockout because the user can use the credentials on other devices as the OP indicated.
