Gemini Air Dolby surround support?
I just got a Gemini Air device and a new Direct TV account a few days ago. The settings are driving me nuts, specifically the audio output. I am connecting it through a Sony home theater receiver, and although the only audio setting I see is set to "surround", the receiver does not detect a Dolby signal via the HDMI connection. Many other devices I've used send Dolby Digital to my receiver, but no matter what I do I can't get this one to work.
The setup info on the website is terrible. Even when I log in, the "troubleshooting" page shows my equipment but the info is all wrong. Am I an (Edited per community guidelines) or what?

Tomin_NC, how did you finally configure your Sony system so that Gemini Air transmit in DD 5.1?

H_inFlorida, I have never been able to get DD 5.1 out of the Gemini air.

@Moodysj nope, returned mine right around the time I posted here and went back to the regular Gemini. Sounds like they haven’t made any progress on hardware/updates.

I have 2 Gemini boxes that are having issues with my Sonos beam and arc soundbars. When I power both up, it rarely picks the right audio output of external audio system with my Sony Bravia tvs. Sometimes it will, sometimes it only works on tv speakers, sometimes neither work.
when I reboot it usually works and when I reconnect my old mini client boxes, works every time. Anybody have ideas and any special connections/settings on other Gemini/soundbar pairings? I am connected via hdmi earc, sound bars into tvs. Gemenis are hdmi into tv.
Direct tv tech support has no clue.
