Gemini Air Startup Issue

I have had my Gemini Air for about a month and it works great except for one VERY annoying problem: If I turn off my TV (LG C5) with the Gemini remote and later want to turn the TV back on, the ON button on the remote does nothing. I need to use my TV remote to turn on the set.  Once I do that, it takes about a minute for the Gemini to start up but sometimes the TV loses connection to the Gemini during the startup process.  Pressing the ON button again on the Gemini remote normally resolves that.  Once Gemini is back up, the remote works fine, volume, input and off buttons work as expected on my TV.  All is fine until I turn off the TV.  I have gone through the remote programming procedure several times and it works fine until I turn off the set.  Any ideas?  Thanks...

Thanks for sharing a detailed breakdown of the issue with turning on the TV using the Gemini Air remote, @ChuckP20601. Here's another troubleshooting step that you can try to fix:

1. Go to Settings, then System.

2. In Remote & Devices, go to Program Your Remote.

3. Then, disable remote control programming to reset all functions, including volume and power.

4. Then reprogram the remote: choose manual programming. If the first code works, press "No" (not "Yes") to try the next code—this ensures you get a new code that handles other functions like power and input, not just volume.

6. Lastly, perform a reset on the Gemini Air device and redo the process to see if the behavior reoccurs.
