Gemini Air voice remote
Has anyone noticed a change in the software for the Gemini Air remote? A couple days ago I asked the remote to play Seinfeld and the screen went to showing several other shows, including Seinfeld but would not play the show. Then I asked what time the Cowboys game was starting it did not respond with any info. Those are functions that worked last and for a long time back. I rebooted the Gemini Air, did not resolve. Then I did a hard reset and that did not resolve issue. The remote will change channels and I can get weather temperature, but the voice option will not play anything from DVR and no sports info or upcoming schedules using the voice option on the remote. I am assuming those options are no longer available?

The Google Voice Command options should still be available, @Wtkap. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot. Let's try testing it; please press and release the microphone button. Once the LEDs are solid blue, speak a command. Try this three times and circle back to us on how it goes. John, DIRECTV Community Team

Thank you for your response and recommendation, I tried and the results are the same.
Gemini air voice remote will not play anything recorded or on demand using voice commands. Both my Gemini air devices are having the same issues.
the voice remote will respond to requests from weather temperature
And I can get them to work rewinding and fast forward voice command that’s about it.

I noticed a change as well. When I ask it for a sports score it just takes me to a page with tiles showing upcoming games. I asked it for a Cardinals baseball game score on Saturday and but it doesn't anymore show it anymore. I also asked it on Sunday "Show me NFL Scores" It used to popup a screen with a list of scores but now it just brings up a listing of upcoming football games. It doesn't show sports standings anymore either when asked.

I got no resolution yet from Directv and sent them a screen shot. That tells me they know about the issue and it’s something to do with the Google voice commands not working like they have been. Maybe Directv will get it resolved soon.

Update:
Called Directv support and discussed the issue with a specialist. No resolution for the voice remote voice command issues.
i was told they are aware of the issue as they have received calls about the issue. as I suspected, and they are working with Google on fix. Nothing like wasting time on phone…
