Gemini box is putting Toshiba tv into standby mode instead of powering down.
When I power up, the receiver comes on as I can hear sound through the sound bar but the tv has a blank screen. Have to press the power button on the tv to take it out of standby mode or unplug it for a moment then plug back in. It’s only about a year old tv so not old by any means and replacing the tv (as was the recommendation from Directv support) which I’m not going to do. It worked fine for the past year until about September or October when it started getting wonky. I think Directv pushed out a software update this fall that caused the problem. Has anyone solved this issue (other than hitting the power button on the tv, unp,urging it to reset it, etc.)?

Thanks for reporting this, @Zacmarch. Let's reprogram your Gemini remote with your TV. Follow the steps below:
Unpair Remote
- Press and hold DASH (–) and APPS or Diamond buttons until you see the LED lights on the remote blink blue twice.
- Restart your Gemini (DIRECTV) device by pressing and releasing the red button on the side of the device. You can also unplug your device and then plug it back in.
Re-pair remote
- Point the remote at your Gemini (DIRECTV) device.
- Press and hold FAST FORWARD and REWIND at the same time for 2-3 seconds. When they pair, you’ll receive an onscreen message that your remote is ready to use.
Control TV and Sound Bar
- Go to Settings and then System.
- Select Remote & Devices, then Program Your Remote.
- Choose the TV manufacturer or sound bar you want to add.
- Follow the prompts to finish up.
