LG TV and Stream Device
I have an LG TV that has an Apple TV and an Directv Stream box. It’s all setup and works except for one issue. If I use the Directv remote to turn everything on it turns everything on and goes to the correct input. Then after about ten seconds it switches to the AppleTV. It’s weird because it will even automatically label that input as Directv Stream.
If I use the LG remote it will correctly turn everything on and not switch inputs. I’ve even unplugged the HDMI from the Apple TV and tried again. The DirecTV remote still turns everything on and switches to the wrong input.
I have a similar setup on a Sony TV and this does not happen. So it’s got to be an LG thing. Any tips?

Do you have HDMI Anynet CEC turned on--on your tv. If so, turn it off.

So I turned off CEC. Tried again. Turned on the TV using the Directv remote. First went to the correct input. Ten seconds later it not only switched to hdmi 3 (the appletv) but it renamed the input to DIRECTV STREAM and a pop up said CEC was being turned on. I never named the input anything.
And again I tried with the LG remote. No issues. Turns on and stays on the correct input. This behavior only happens with the Directv remote.
I know….don’t use the directv remote. As I’ve said in other posts I’m trying to get my wife on board with streaming and I need to make this is as simple as possible. If it was up to me I’d just use the AppleTV!
