Limit number of DVR episodes being recorded

When setting up a show to be recorded, especially one with many episodes that are in reruns (ie Law & Order), is it possible to limit the number of episodes that get recorded?  Then, after watching an episode and deleting it from the library, then another episode gets added.  Otherwise, the library gets filled up and prevents other shows from being recorded.

When setting up a show to record there is no way to limit the number of episodes that are recorded.  I would set it so that only new episodes record so you are not getting every episode that plays in a day to record and as far as it filling up your DVR you should have unlimited hours but as of right now Directv Streams does limit the number of episodes that you are able to record of one show to 30 episodes but you may be able to record more since I do have a few that have more than 30 episodes.

Older subscribers (and apparently some newer subscribers) do not get an unlimited DVR unless they pay extra for it.  (And even paying for it wasn't an option until fairly recently.)  Those of us with the limited DVR (only 20 hours) are also limited to 10 episodes - but obviously even getting to 10 is an issue with the 20 hour limit.

There are a lot of enhancements to the DVR that would help bring it to the level of most (including the U-Verse DVR and probably the DirecTV satellite one - I don't know it).  Being able to control the source for and maximum number of episodes for a series recording are amongst them.
