Login issues with Roku
Got answer loud and clear about the Samsung Frame and DTV Stream. So hooked the rook and added the DTV Stream app and tried to log in with no success. Deleted app, updated software, etc....
Message keeps saying my service is available through the DIRECTV App for satellite tv service.
We just cancelled the satellite service and now have streaming. The satellite service will be disconnected tomorrow so maybe it will work then. Have not seen anything on these forums about a message like this.
It does work fine on my phone and on another tv through our Apple TV but as mentioned not on the frame nor on the ROKU. Thanks for any advice!

That was fixed the issue!!!
Went back to ATT store, canceled stream, turned in boxes, immediately opened new stream account with different login/email and was assigned new boxes at the store which we tested before we left.
Got home logged in to stream on the roku also with no problem.

You need to use a different email account/ID then you had with the DirecTV service. it's a known issue and been noted many times before in the forums.

Figured from the error message that may be the case but since it worked on the Apple TV and Apple devices no problem then was not sure.

I having linked accounts and have tried to change just the stream or just the ATT with not luck.
Is it possible to unlink accounts or is there a way to change one of the logins without the other?

Sure. Cancel your DirecTV Stream account. Then create a new one with a different email address than your DirecTV satellite account.

I'm confused by this solution: if I create a DirecTV Stream account with a different email, won't I have to pay separately for the DirecTV Stream and for my DirecTV satellite? I thought the whole point was to be able to leverage my DirecTV satellite and watch it anywhere on any device using DirecTV Stream?

Nope, that's not how it works. DirecTV Satellite and DirecTV Stream are totally separate services. Each requires its own subscription. And they're essentially the same programming, so it typically wouldn't make sense to have both.
