Navagation with Remote
I was a DTV satellite customer since 2002 and just ditched the dish for DTV Streaming. It is not very easy to navigate to to different channels and such, I have to always got to the guide and browse thru the listings when I already know the channel #. Is there any way to just enter a channel# to go directly to that stream ? Also I went into the settings function and I cannot go back or exit from that screen. I am sure I probably just haven't figured out all the ways to navigate since this is new to me. One last thing is the navigating is very slow, if it were faster, maybe the above things wouldn't be so annoying to me. Any tips would be appreciated

Get a Directv Stream box. The remote has numbers on it you can use to change channels. It also has buttons for the guide, dvr, previous channel, and record. FF and rewind work much better on the box...the entire experience is much faster.

What streaming device are you using? The C71K DirecTV Stream's remote works just like your old DirecTV satellite equipment.

I don't have any extra equipment, just my internet. I figured I would skip the rental charges since I rented their satellite equipment for 20 years lol. I guess if I get too annoyed I can get a stream box. Thanks for the feedback.

@Smoker5266 There is no rental....you own the equipment after you pay 120 dollars for it--either all up front or 5/month for 24 months. They also sell refurbished boxes with 1yr warranty for 49.99
