New update changed the tv remote up/down arrow functions
Prior to 11/2/21 the up/down arrows for the direct tv stream remote allowed me to scroll through channels either up or down while watching current channel. That no longer works as of 11/2, now the up/down arrows have a new function “recent channels” which is a poor user experience, why was that change made and is there a work around that provides prior functionality of the up/down arrows? Due to this change I am now considering to cancel my subscription.

I have the dtv stream box and my up/down buttons scroll thru the mini guide. Sounds like you are using an app on another device.

I have the directtv stream service with the streaming devices+remote-mine worked the way you described, but no longer as of yesterday

Just checked mine---up down buttons bring up the mini guide just like always. Try to unpair,repair the remote and/or restart the box. Are you sure you aren't using an app b/c my firestick remote up/down brings up recent channels.

Thanks, I will try unpairing / repairing the remote when I get home from work, and yes I reset the device box last evening, same result , “recent channels” appeared when using the up/down arrows of the remote. For sure not using a firestick, etc… it’s just the att device box and the remote that came with it.

That's not a DirecTV stream box version number. What device are you using we are talkin about the remote for the stream box

We are talking about the up and down arrows on the DirecTV stream box remote. You have a fire stick app.We are not talking about that.
