No 5.1 Surround Sound using Chromecast
Hi There,
I just signed up for Direct Stream and have noticed that there is no 5.1 surround sound being output for any channel, including HBO, or any On Demand content.
I am using casting from my phone to a Chromecast with Google TV device. I get full 5.1 Dolby Digital surround sound when using all other apps, such as Netflix, HBO Max, Hulu, etc...
This is a dealbreaker for me if I cannot obtain 5.1 surround through the Directv Stream app, casting to a Chromecast.
Please help!

Directv Stream provides whatever the channels/station provides for digital audio content usually it is DD5.1. But since you are casting from your phone to your TV that also could impact the sound making it so that you are not getting the true DD5.1. I would recommend that you use an external streaming device for better sound quality preferably the Directv Streaming Box.
