One of 3 ways I connect to DirecTV Stream having major problems

39603960X I have used the streaming since the ATT days.  No longer use on computer because of the Windows version I stay with for other software.  But, use on phone and two different TVs. The newest connection (connected through a Roku Express 3960X) has given me fits for a couple of days and now wants me to sign-in. The combinations of email and password that I expect to work do not! Have tried several.

No error message. Now the one I have connected through a ROKU 3 started doing the same thing.

 If I click on the DIRECTV icon from the ROKU Home Screen I get taken to a page that says Award season starts here rather than the Hello Jane page I was used to getting. In small type it goes on to say Watch award winners and awards season favorites with MyEntertainment-or start free with MyFreeDIRECTV. Under that are two boxes. The one with a blue background says Sign up for free. Next to that is a box with a gray background that says Customer sign in. Using that Customer sign in WILL NOT TAKE ANY COMBINATION that I expect to have work. I have been streaming since the At&T days.

I am really worried about anything that is supposed to fix these two messing it up on my cell phone where it has continued to work.

Started having problems with my remote today on the TV the ROKU 3 is attached to. Will make a detailed post about that later.

Your Roku Express Model 3960X isn't compatible with the DIRECTV App. You can download it, but functionality isn't guaranteed. No need for more about remotes now. I think I have solved that part. Discovered that the one being used with the ROKU 3 was one that needed pairing and discovered that it was probably getting interference from other things on in that room. The one being used with the Express in a bedroom turned out to be an IR remote. Since the things in the room with the ROKU 3 are turned off when I go to bed at night I have tried switching which is used where and so far it has worked!
