Order box through Roku
I signed up for streaming through Roku since it wouldn't let me sign up online. I don't see any options for ordering a box.
Is there any way to order a box/remote?

No - but at least "you" would be covered by the warranty. You have no warranty - period!

What part don't you understand --that you purchased the box from a 3rd party and you don't have a warranty. You should have got it directly from Directv. I seriously doubt this claim of a 3 way call to Directv. lol I've never heard of Dtv sending out boxes still attached to previous customers.

The person you purchased it from (if he really got it from Directv) would have a warranty. Get a refund from them. They sold you a box you can't use. Return the box to them and they can get a refund from Directv.
