They pair exactly like the remote that comes with the DirecTV stream box. Settings...remotes/devices....add a new DirecTV remote.. It's the same remote that comes with the stream box
Thank you Ludwick. I just got the remote and it paired in under 10 seconds did an update and everything works just like the original I can even control my audio on my denon. I can use both remotes on one box it, works with RF so no need to point remote at device. I was disappointed when I read reviews on amazon that it wasn't back-lit, but to my surprise it is Back-Lit. Thanks for the link to remote.
