Signing Up for Service

My girlfriend and I have been trying to sign up for Directv Stream for a week. We've been to two different stores, tried online, tried 4 times on the phone (7hrs worth of phone time).

The issues is that no matter what card we use (mine, hers, someone else's, Visa, Mastercard, Bank of America, Citibank, Capital One. I've even provided pictures of my passport and driver's license, not to mention the countless times we have recited our social over the phone.) the payment will not process. We have called our banks, there are no issues with the cards. Two of the agents we spoke with (Roxroy, and a counterpart that works in a department that Roxroy got to call us back under the premise of fixing the issue. Unfortunately I can't remember his name) confirmed the issue is on ATT's end.

We spoke with the agent whose name I can't remember, and he was able to allegedly escalate the issue to someone who would be able to process our order for a bundled plan at a special rate as well as provide a $200 gift card, by us providing our routing and acc #. The agent also provided us with a confirmation number. But as we waited to complete the process. The call was dropped...

Now when we call back, we're being told there is no way to pay using that info and they want us to provide our cards all over again and take us through a process that does not work.

ATT is the ONLY provider in our neighborhood. At this point we are literally begging ATT to take our money and there is no help being provided. This has been the nightmare of all nightmares.

Is there anyone out there with a number, email address or some sort of contact for someone that can take care of this issue without us again having to sit on the phone for hours and trying to run every card we have access to?

This is also quite frustrating as each time we call back there is no record of previous conversations with agents. We have to explain our situation over and over (again, over 7 hours over the phone). All the agents have been as helpful as they can be but AT&T has severe management issues and there is no accountability. This has been a nightmare, a severe time (Edited per community guidelines), emotionally taxing and draining. Not to mention, we just bought our first home together and can not enjoy a service which should be easy to set up given AT&T is a long time service provider and should have the experience to address such issues. What a headache. Can someone please advise? At the end of the road here….

mwoldem is my girlfriend. We have both spoken to agents and they have taken us through the same processes mentioned in the original post with no solutions offered.

Just a thought....Have you checked you SPAM folders in your e-mail accounts ?

If I remember correctly, you need to confirm through your mail account.

We get all their emails. The issue is with their payment processing. No matter whose name it's under or what card we use there is an authorization error and no one can tell us how or why it's happening. Nor can anyone offer a solution...thus far.

We can freely use the cards anywhere else (and have done so) but for some reason their system rejects it every time.
