Unable to get local channels after multiple calls to customer support

I am getting this error message on both NBC and CBS "The owner of this content has not made it available to stream in this area".  There is an error code on bottom left of the screen 30002-015.  Has anyone else experienced this?  I have called customer support 4 times with no one being able to fix it.  They keep telling me it's a software issue that has to be "escalated" and that others are experiencing the same issue.  We have tried resets, resetting to factory default, checking location settings, checking zip code, etc.  Issue started on February 6 and still persists to this day.  We did move from Florida to Virginia.  When in Florida had no issues getting local channels.  Oddly enough we are getting ABC local with no issues.  We live in Williamsburg with zip code 23185.  Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Yes...billing address updated.  Using Directv box with television.  Don't watch tv on mobile device.  Have multiple boxes (3) and get same error message on each.

Just downloaded mobile app...

getting error message "This Program is Blacked Out"  "Owner of this content has not made it available to stream in this area"  same error code as noted originally.  30002-015.  Same issue across the board...NBC and CBS error messages.  ABC comes in fine.

I've done that multiple times.  Doesn't have any effect.

Don't get CBS or NBC at all.  Regardless of the content.

Regardless of what the content is...I cannot get CBS or NBC.  Always get the same error message.  Only difference is on mobile device they've added the "This Program is Blacked Out" verbage.  Other than that it's the same error message.  With the same error code.

This is a Directv issue...not a station issue.  Oddly enough when I DVR or go to On-Demand I can access the local NBC and CBS networks.

Hello @johnmckeal. Let's check together what's going on with your local channels.

The error you shared with us appears when:

1. The location is turned off, since your local channels are determined by the location of your device (mobile devices) or your billing zip code (TV and PC/Laptops). Please confirm that your location is on and the billing address is properly updated.

2. The owner of the channel restricts the access to their programming. Access to local networks depends on licensing agreements between DIRECTV STREAM and local market carriers.

They are entitled to decide the programming available. In this case, it will be necessary to wait until they make the programming available once again.

Location settings are correct and zip code is correct.

This is not an issue of channel restricting access to programming.  Directv has checked this already and confirmed I should be getting the channels.  I'm pretty certain everyone else who has Directv in this area are getting their local NBC and CBS affiliates.  It would be tough sell for Directv to say you aren't going to get two major networks if you use our streaming services.

I understand, @johnmckeal. I'm here to give you a thorough explanation as you deserve.

It's true that these two local channels are very important. The error you're getting is due to restrictions from them. Each one of them has the right to restrict specific programming/content for certain periods.

Please stay tuned to check when their networks become available in Williamsburg once more on DIRECTV STREAM.

Dani:

With all due respect.....So now you're trying to convince me that this is a specific programming / content issue?  Why then after speaking with customer support 4 different times over the past month did they not convey that message to me?  I do not agree that this is a programming / content issue.  Are you truly trying to convince me that no one in this area is getting NBC or CBS on their Directv Stream?  Come on....!

We got your point on this, @johnmckeal. We can check whether there's something else we can do before you take a decision.

We just made this comment private to take a closer look at your account.

This looks to me like a location problem. Someone with stream needs to go through the various options and make sure the OP is setting things up OK.
