$100 Visa Card Reward...Why Isn't The Redemption Process Made Clear From The Start?
When I placed my order for ATT Uverse business internet on June 5, 2015, I was told by the phone rep, Michelle, ( *and* the installer, Drew, on June 6, 2015) that I would be getting a rebate for the installation costs and a $100 Visa gift card after 60 days of service. Well, that set okay with me, g! At no point, however, was there any mention of a claim letter, a rewards center or any effort that was I was required to make.
The only mail I received during the past 60 days from ATT Uverse was a letter about changes to my ATT Uverse profile and a letter confirming my ATT Uverse passcode. When no sign or mention of my ATT Uverse rewards had showed up on my ATT Uverse account online by the 60 day service anniversary August 6, 2016, I assumed the waiting period was up and that I'd be receiving my rewards by the end of August. September came. Nothing else did. So I Googled "ATT Uverse $100 Visa gift card". And *that* is when I learned about the claim letter, the rewards center and the effort I was required to make.
I was able to make a claim for the installation rebate, even though it was listed as expired, thanks to a "grace period". That's still pending and I hope it comes through. The $100 Visa gift card wasn't even listed on the rewards center. If I had been informed, at any point during the order/install activity that I needed to do something to claim my rewards, I would have. That information was not given. From the forum messages I've seen online, that seems to be a common occurence.
I just don't understand why ATT Uverse even offers rewards if they are going to make it so difficult for customers to get them. I've been very prompt with my payments to *you* and haven't made you go to any extraordinary lengths to get what I'd agreed to pay you. Oh well. I'll settle for the installation rebate and consider the $100 Visa gift card an urban myth, like alligators in the sewers or public transportation that arrives in a timely manner, lol. I'm still satisfied with my internet service and our relationship will continue...but the honeymoon magic is definitely over.

@pcordle8 Unluckily, $100 gift card is gone, probably just b4 you 'discovered' what to do after 60 days. They will not replace it either.
It's not a myth, I received a $200 check more than 7 years ago when I got Uverse. Since then I've gotten 2-$50 and 1-$20 gift cards for upgrades.
But I did know about the Reward Center from lurking here (precursor Utalk) and uverseusers.com in the 2 weeks between from my order date and install date. When I received notice originally for the $200 reward, it was a flyer folded in 3rds looking like junk mail. 😉
