$200 Rewards Card Redemption EXPIRED?!! HORRIBLE Customer Service!

I had a HORRIBLE experience with AT&T today. Let me first say that I am a VERY loyal AT&T customer. I have been an AT&T wireless costumer for about 5 years and I am a U-Verse customer that is about to move her services to a new address. When I first signed up for AT&T Uverse back in February of this year I was told I was going to receive a $200 rebate/rewards card. Which I assumed was just going to be mailed to me. Nothing came. It wasnt until a couple of months ago when I received a reward notification for a $10 Visa Card, that I realized I had to redeem my card online. I NEVER received notification to redeem. In fact, I was never acknowledge as a bundled customer and had to call in to have my discounts manual entered EVERY MONTH until May 2013. This may be why I never received the Reward notification in the mail. I called AT&T today to try to fix this problem, and I was spoken to very rudely and was told it was too late to redeem my card. I was NEVER told how the rebate system works, I NEVER received award notification because I wasnt acknowledge in the billing system as a bundle customer until more than 3 months later, so how was this my fault? I even told the customer service rep that if I was going to be treated this rudely that I wouldnt move my services and would cancel all together, but she continued to rush me off the phone. I have NEVER been treated this way by an AT&T employee and it was VERY frustrating. I have always been an advocate for AT&T's great customer service and relationship skills, and this was VERY disappointing.

I received horrible customer service from the Att.com Representative. I explained that I never received the $150 Promtion card in the mail. I was told that it was my fault for not receiving the promoitoin card in the mail and that they CANNOT send out another promotion card. I have been with Att.com for 10 years with my wirless.Worst customer service ever. I said to cancel my account and was hung up on. Very dissapoiniting service, not sure about my loyalty moving froward

I reached out to the Social Media team and received the below message. I talked to the Rewards Center today and they would not honor the $150 promotion. I explained the promo code was never sent as my wife and I have been looking for it each day! I am about done with Att and never thought they would be worse than Comcast. I should make this a Reditt thread...

I also have expired reward card. I went to use the card 2 days after expiration as I had been out of the country when they were delivered. I would love for someone to reach out to me to reissue the cards. I had both a $100 card and a $50 card sent to me and they expired 2/29. Please someone reach out to me on how these can be reissued? I love ATT, have always had great customer service and am hoping that this great customer service will continue with a resolution to my expired reward cards!!

I also have a similar situation in which I installed my uverse services back in November of 2015 and I was promised a rewards card of $300 dollars and I was suppose to have received a letter to activate my rewards card to be sent out in th mail but I never received anything. I tried calling today and all last week to solve this issue but th reward center says it cannot do anything about it since it expired already and that it doesn't show anything on their computers for that amount. I am frustrated since I even upgraded my internet speed and have 4 phones in wireless with att also. Yet att doesn't want to credit me the $300 dollars I was promised for installing uverse with higher internet speeds and my already existing wireless account. If I am not able to get the $300 dollar credit which either was was going to use at ATT itself then I might just switch all my services to Verizon or T-Mobile.

I am experiencing a similar event. When I signed up for digital life I was told I'd receive a $50 reward card. I never got it in the mail. I called both Att and went to the store I set up the digital life in, no one did anything or could see where I was up posed to have a reward card. I also have been a loyal and on time customer of Att for years. I'm so sick of this. It's 50 bucks! Which I planned to use towards the att bill in the first place. Today I received my reward card in the mail after MONTHS of waiting. It is EXPIRED! It expired on April 30th!!!! Can anyone give me some advice on this?

You all missed this in the terms:  Reward Card Redemption Required.  Means you must contact Reward Center to redeem your reward that would then come in 3-4 weeks.

 

Seems you all found these forums to complain, why not when 1st got installed to ask about Reward Card process?  That's the way I found out about it back in 2008, got the letter (folded in 3rds like junk mail), redeemed my $200 check at the Reward Center.  Go back to check in a couple weeks and my reward is gone.

 

So, I call to see what's going on, RC rep says it was cancelled, HUH?  She suggests the uselesss 3 party call w/them and CS, nothing occured.  Then got a bit hot and asked for a supervisor, 5 mins later she came on and first thing she says "something's wrong here", she saw the more than 20 cancellations.

 

Now she starts looking thru all her offer sheets and finds mine, u200 Uverse IPTV or higher and Uverse Internet; which I had u200 and Internet.  Then she said she had to investigate this and will get back to me in a week, I said, oh yeah, right.  Well in a week I get a call from ATT that my check is in the mail, should've gone out the day before.

 

Got all the other rewards I redeemed properly over the years, so, it's not a scam as some seem to think.  Smiley Very Happy

Dont even bother listening to these liars. I was on the phone for 2 hours with these embeciles. They are rude, degrading and should loose there jobs. The US government should really crack down on there flase advertising and put an end to ATT's lies. I have started a huge boycott on facebook, and people are starting to gather up. AT&T should be sued for there behaviors and learn how to show respect to its customers. This is America, we are a free nation we should have the right to take these multi-billion dollar corporations to justice, or else they will just keep walking all over us. TAKE THE STAND AND LEAVE THIS DREADFUL company. Such a waste of energy. ATT i will never NEVER NEVER go back to you again! Worst company ever! This is not an opinion by me, if you look at there facebook page everyone complains! ATT is not doing there job, BOYCOTT THIS COMPANY! ATT should be sued!

I had the absolute worst experience with AT&T yesterday and I'm learning that others have experienced it too! The 200 reward visa that expires but you have no idea! I was in the phone with AT&T rewards for 45 minutes yesterday and no one could do anything by the time I was transferred to whom ever it connected and hung up. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE and false advertisement. I am going to cancel my service and warn everyone of this issue!

I was really hoping I wouldn't have the same issue as everybody else was reporting here but unfortunately I'm getting the same 'too bad we don't really care about our customers' attitude that others here have gotten.  So not only am I out the $250 but they say I would have to pay an early termination fee if I want to leave now. I wish I had never switched.

@lzech123456   Yeah read the paper the reward card comes glued to that it expires quickly, so spend it quickly.  It does say it, latest one I got said just that.

 

And if you want save the $$, just get a Visa gift card that will not expire, w/the reward card. 😉
