Anyone else being lied to by support? Induced to sign up for DIRECTV NOW
At end of my promotional term, I did chat support and was told I could upgrade my TV from Family to 300, internet from 45 to 50 and price would be same. I just needed to sign up for DIRECTV NOW with the service rep. I did so, was charged $10 and then asked not to cancel DirecTV now for 2 months. But the next day, the upgrade order had been cancelled and after an hour with customer service, the only thing that was offered was to double my bill. I tried attcares on Twitter but after initial response, they have not replied in 8 hours (all during business day).
Wondering if anyone else has been fooled into signing up for Direct TV now, and had upgrade order cancelled??? If so, please share with community how you were able to resolve it. Thanks

From my knowledge, currently there is not any offer available where you sign up for directv now and get an upgrade in uverse tv and internet services for same price. Directv now is a different service, it is streaming and there is not even combined billing with directv now service so the only way to keep those services on same price and making an upgrade would be to get any discount in those services and directv now does not generate any discount for both. I am really sorry to say that the chat support agent was trying to make a sale so my personal recommendation is always confirm in the web the availability of the offer and make sure you receive terms and conditions. I am not sure if you can get the $10.00 back since I understand that it was already paid but check because you start with 7 seven days free trial and your card is not charged until this trial expires.

Thanks paul123. I'm just going to cancel the service altogether, turn in the name of the sales rep, and contact Better Business Bureau,, and sign up for YouTube TV. I'll have my credit card company reverser the charge. I'll reply here if I get any info from the jokers in customer service
