AT&T lies to get new customers

Prior to ATT we had Comcast. We only switched because of the ever increasing bills NOT because of poor customer service. AT&T is by far the worst and they tell their reps to lie to the customers by telling them what they think we want to hear so we will give up. When signing up online for service I went on chat because I could not see where to opt out of auto pay. By opting out you pay 5.00 a month which is nothing compared to what they could charge you if they felt like it. So after going around and round answering my question I was offered an additional $100.00 rewards card on top of the promotional $50.00 card. After not receiving anything for a couple of months I was told they could not see a $100.00 card and at first the 50.00 card too. I have contacted them so many times being told lies about  when I would receive the 50 card and the last chat I was told I would get the 100.00 one mailed out on the 19th of April. The 50 one was mailed on the 21st of march and was told I would get it on the 29th then on the 1st of April now they say it takes 3 weeks. If I dont get it then they will send another one. What?So I can wait another month to see if I get it? Today I was told that they dont see anything about a $100. card and she was twisting what the last chat said about the 100 card. Whenever you speak or chat with anyone at AT&T you better make sure that they understand exactly what you are saying and what they are saying, She tried to say the notes say april 19 is when I get the 50 card and she does not have access to chat transcripts only notes. I have seen too many complaints about people not getting them and AT&T can NOT be trusted. They screwed us years ago when we had long distance and when a guy came around a few years ago trying to get us to sign up he told us that they have changed how they deal with customers and they have a great customer service department. He lied then and its the same now. I can say that as much as I disliked Comcast when they said they were going to do something they did it. They DID NOT LIE to us. Its unfortunate that AT&T is telling their reps to lie and whats worse they are trying to make it look like I am the liar. I saved the transcript from the very first time and no one even wants to acknowledge it. I did not ask for the $100 card I was offered because the rep thought I was going to back out of signing up. And if he could not deliver, he had no right offering it. I don't want a credit, I want the card(s) as promised. I am going to report them to the FCC and the FTC. My advice find another provider and when making complaints never go to the BBB. They are a privately owned company and members are always right and Im sure ATT is a member AT&T is unethical and anyone working for them only makes them unethical. After speaking to over 8 people and even going to their store all the while being told so many different stories was an eye opening experience. At the store I watched a rep try to take advantage of a senior citizen veteran who was looking to buy a cell phone. I could not believe the crap he was telling him. I just hope he listened to what I was telling him and went somewhere else. AT&T really does not care about the people who are their customers. They CANNOT be trusted.
