AT&T Trucks parked on my driveway and refusing to move

Aug 19, 2015

AT&T Trucks working on an adjacent property parked their truck on my driveway today blocking access to and from my home. I asked them to move it so that my children and I could move freely in and out of my house but the driver refused to do so unless I am using my car. Moreover, they are parked on a fragile part of the drive which has a bridge that is crumbling. Duke Energy did the same last week and did move after I pointed out the dmaage they were causing. The AT&T driver was not interested in knwoing my concerns.

If the vehicle(s) are parked so as to block emergency equipment or denying you the ability to access your car in case of emergency, then you need to call 911.

If they are parked NEAR your driveway and on the public easement, you do not have any recourse.

I'd load the kids up in the car and tell the workers "I gots to GO!"  Drive around the block.  If they have to move the truck enough, they'll find a different spot.
