Best way to retain original internet cost

Hi,

Ive been a Att customer for years and just have the uverse internet now.  I had tried their rival here in fort worth for a few months last year and was dissatisfied so I went back to ATT.  Got a great deal for a year for $30 a month for the 3 mb service.  Now that my year is up the price is up to $47 before tax.  I tried customer service but the best they could give me was to double the speed (not a concern).  Other than cancelling my service and renewing again is it possible to get a better rate, back when I have tv also it was relatively easy to keep a decent price.  Im sure some would say $47 a month for internet is good, im used to paying $30-40 max.  I loved doing the self install with ATT, no actual need for someone to come to my house and it was reasonable, thanks for any suggestions!!!  I have internet at work and my phone so reinstalling and becoming a new customer is a fairly easy option...

Thank you kindly ive used retention service in the past and had asked the person I talked to in cs, but they just tried to keep me glued to the service that I had and didnt suggest anything else, again I appreciate this, this is a great forum! FS
