BEYOND POOR COMMUNICATION
ATT and Directv two communication companies that don't communicate!
My experience wanting to switch from Uverse to Direrctv satellite was mind numbing and exasperating. Day 1, called ATT wanting to switch service, 3 days later technicon arrives but says he cant' put a dish up on the roof. He tells me to call ATT customer service and request another service call but from a contractor that can install a dish up on my roof. I make the call requesting a service technicon or contractor that can access my roof. 3 days later new ATT technicon arrives, I ask him about the roof install says HE can't go up on my roof, he doesn't know why he was dispatched given that after visit 1 I asked ATT "TO SEND A TECHNICON OR CONTRACTOR THAT CAN ACCESS MY ROOF. Now my Uverse TV is not working, I think I know why, TECH # 2 didn't tell ATT service that he couldn't install Directv. So I call "Customer Service", get a nice lady who spend almost 3 hours with me and ATT -ELSEWHERE trying to get an answer. She did tell me there was a cancel order in for my Uverse, but TECH #2 never informed anyone else at ATT that the install did not work. So after the 3 hours customer service calling "back office" and "order department" there is no resolution. after the three hours ANOTHER TECHNICON calls, says he's got a ticket for an install for me. I tell him to not come unless he can access my roof (no). Meanwhile I'm to to wait until tomorrow to see if the ATT cancellation of the cancel order took place.
I'm now faced with the dilemma, a)do I want to try this again or b)just try another company. I'm leaning toward b). My advice if you want satellite TV try the other company!
