Can you keep uverse tv if you switch internet providers
My internet speed is terrible. I’m getting the max available and it is not enough. Att internet is the same price as my cable provider and 1/8 th the speed.
But I like my uverse tv. So can I change my internet provider and keep my uverse tv?

No you can have a different ISP provider, but you still need the ATT Gateway, even when canceling your high speed internet with ATT, make sure you don't send the ATT gateway back! So basically you will have two routers for example a Spectrum router for internet, and a ATT gateway for u-verse tv.

Not once in 8 years did I install uverse with another provider.
It would not surprise me as it is quite rare, usually when people sign up for a service, they bundle internet tv and phone to get the cheapest price. But if you live in a non-fiber area usually cable can get higher speeds. The key is you still need the att gateway to work with the uverse receiver, you can't plug the uverse receiver into a spectrum router it just won't work. It has been discussed before in forums, https://forums.att.com/conversations/watching-uverse-tv/uverse-tv-with-different-isp/5defcd9fbad5f2f606a80e38
