Canceling U-Verse TV but keep Internet 1000

Is there way to fully cancel the Uverse TV and keep the 1gbps internet i have with out a data cap.  If I look at offers for new customers it looks like i can get Internet 1000 for roughly $80 a month.  Customer support can only offer up that if I cancel the TV my internet will go up to $145 a month ( currently i have Internet 1000 for 80 a month) plus a $150 cancellation fee; or I have to keep basic cable attache to the account.  If ATT could get this worked out I would be willing to even up a contract with them in order to remove the data cap.  I am at the point where I am ready to pull cell, internet , and tv from ATT.    Heck it would be cheaper if I left ATT internet and came back as a new user which makes no sense at all.

You are missing some varibles in the math. Another billing cycle is about to lapse and by what you are saying that would knock another $30 dollars total off the cancellation fees for a total of $270. Your competition will give me a credit of $200 dollars towards you cancellation fees. And give me true 1gb service for 90 dollars a month after taxes. So $90 x 12months + $70 out of my pocket for cancellation fees equals $1150 a year for the next 12 months. So roughly 96 a month off the top of my head. On top of that I'm not in a contract for my ATT wirless. It is 115 a month but a competitor will do it for 100 a month and give me unlimited data...so another 15 a month savings there and ATT looses a customer for a minimum 12 months but let's be honest. It will be longer than that.
