AT&T Sports Southwest told me today U-verse is having internal issues with the streaming of Astros games through the MLB app and removed AT&T U-verse from the list of available providers until it is repaired.
I contacted U-verse technical support and they confirmed they are having issues streaming the Astros games and said their technicians are working to correct the issue. They promised "it would be resolved within 2-24 hours." It's now been four hours and counting.
My daughter said she read U-verse lost the rights to stream the games when Roots became AT&T Sports Southwest. I have not been able to confirm that.
