change the bills to my husband name

Last April 13, I called the customer service to transfer or change the bills to my husband name because he is the who managed our bills and today I went to At & t location here in Easlake. The Manager of the store told us with husband that I cancelled my account and AT&T charged $105 for cancellation. I just told to the lady who helped me to transfer or change the bills name from me to my husband name. I did not say Cancelled, I said change the bills to my husband name. How will I refund $105 for cancellation. Whoever helped me in customer service mess up. I hope you can help me because I try to convince my husband that AT&T is better than Cox cable but this happened he was disappointed to your customer service

@Lsaubon Technically I think you can't change the name on an account.  Have to cancel that account and make a new account in the other person's name.  I know it sounds goofy, but the way the phone company handles it. Smiley Surprised

 

Might try for help from ATT Customer Care.  Click the ATT Customer Care link in my signature, send the PM, explain your account snafu situation.

 

Include your name, account #, email address and a good phone # (land or cell) and time to contact you on.

Check the blue PM envelope, upper right on every page, for their reply. Good luck 😉

According to ATT & T Manager at East Lake, Chula Vista, if you are going or just change name the bills,  you don't need to cancelled your account just like rollover to my husband name and no charge. I told that to the customer service when I called about change the bills from my name to my husband name.  I was supprised when I received our bills that we are charge $105.00 for cancellation. I want my $105.00 back because we did not cancelled anything and ATT & T Manager at East Lake told us, we are not supposed to be charged.
