Complaint about AT&T Customer Service
I was having a problem with one television and DVR. I called and was told a line needed to be looked at outside our home. When the technician came, he replaced a switch and told us we would not be charged for a service call because it was faulty equipment and if we were charged to call and they would take it off my bill. Of course, the charge was on our bill (surprise, surprise). I spent about 45 minutes on chat trying to get it resolved and the person on there was NO help at all. So I called. That was even worse. To make a long story short, I spent over an hour on the telephone, had to speak to three different people to get the issue resolved. They have you first speak to someone who I had a hard time understanding and who could not understand me. Same with the second person, and neither one of them could remove the charge. I kept saying if you cannot help me put me through to someone who can. The third person was finally able to help and got the charge removed. I was ready to just get rid of my AT&T altogether because I am so sick of spending an hour on the phone each time I need to contact them and having to speak to two or three people, who constantly put you on hold for 10 minutes or more and then ultimately cannot help you. It is ridiculous. Their customer service has gone so downhill. Makes me really angry that I have to spend my time on something that should not have been on my bill to begin with!!!
