Credit for no service during hurricane Irma

I had no service for about 12 days during and after hurricane Irma back in September. I called during the outage and was told that AT&T would be issuing credits and all I would have to do is call.  That's my first issue - I, or anyone else, shouldn't have to call. The credits should be issued automatically!  I called once my service was back up and the customer service agent figured out the dates that my area had no service (They have the capability of knowing the exact time and date the service was off and back on.  Once again showing that AT&T should be automatically issuing credits to their valued customers, not making us call.) The customer service agent said that they would issue me a credit for the days without service and it would take 1 to 2 billing cycles.  Two billing cycles have come and gone and I have still not received a credit on my bill. I called again today and was told it would be escalated to find out why I haven't received a credit yet.  I still don't understand why I have to continue to call to get a credit for service that I never received, but AT&T will continue to automatically take my full payment out every month with no problem!?
