Current baseline monthly rate for U200 TV package
Where can I see, on a current official AT&T web page, the current published baseline monthly rate for the U200 TV package?
The exact line from my current bill (Feb 25, 2022) reads:
Monthly charges Feb 26 - Mar 25
1. AT&T U-verse TV U200 all included $127
I have had different levels of AT&T U-verse TV service for a number of years. I live in Louisville KY (if that effects my rate).
I just want to confirm, on an official AT&T web page, that $127 is the correct current baseline monthly rate for the U200 TV package. I have found it very confusing to find current baseline monthly rates for U-verse TV packages (not introductory rates for new customers). Many AT&T web pages I find are old pages with outdated rates.
Thank you.

The last official rice list I recall was January 2020 after the annual price increase went into effect.
With price increases January 2021 and 2022 the $127 is about right.
There was (2) separate price tier…
Standard with HD channels being extra $10
And ALL IN ONE with HD channels included with $10 charge rolled into the price.
An example would be U200 Standard $109 with HD $119
or U200 ALL ON ONE $119.
The thing is if wanted HD channels the pricing was the same while older folks wanting to save money or did not have have HD TVs would have STANDARD channels only.
Have been in many retirees homes / apartments where no HD channels available as not willing to pay the extra $10 per month ($120 per year).
If cost was around $107-$109 in 2020, with annual increases around $4 to $5 per year PLUS HD $127 would be around correct pricing.
If willing to check back on my posts over the years, I covered the increases from around 2014-2020.

uverse is a defunct service, there is no baseline price as they arent selling services any more grandfathered accounts will stay active but they arent offering any discounts since they want you to convert to the streaming service.

Thanks for the response. I have heard that AT&T is not selling any new U-verse TV packages. But I was hoping that they still published the current baseline rates for grandfathered accounts. I just wanted to confirm that the $127 is correct based on something other then an AT&T rep telling me it's correct over the phone. Maybe others in this "U-verse TV Account" forum can tell me where to look or can confirm that they are paying the same?
BTW, I currently do receive a "loyalty discount" substracted from this $127 baseline monthly rate

We're happy to address your question about U-verse pricing, bwcarl.
As Constructive stated, there is no baseline price for U-verse at this point. Pricing of grandfathered accounts may vary, based on several factors, including how long the customer has had service and if any discounts were added to their account.
If you're trying to find out if $127 is the lowest available price for your package, let us know, and we'll take a look.
Thank you for visiting the AT&T Community Forums.

ATTHelp,
Thank you for the response. You say- “….there is no baseline price for U-verse at this point. Pricing of grandfathered accounts may vary, based on several factors, including how long the customer has had service and if any discounts were added to their account.”
“If you're trying to find out if $127 is the lowest available price for your package, let us know, and we'll take a look.”
Sometimes I think the AT&T business model is to NOT publish standard baseline rates that would allow all residential customers to easily determine if they are paying the lowest available price. Published residential standard baseline rates could include different rates for new customers, customers with 1 year service, 2 or more years of service, etc.
Apparently, your business model requires each individual residential customer to contact an AT&T sales person to determine if they are paying the lowest available price (resulting in a lack of price transparency across customers).
Also, discounts added to an account should have no effect to a published standard baseline rate. It makes me think that a rate is just increased to offset or partially offset the applied discount.
I have no problem with published rate increases to published standard baseline rates.
I recently downgraded my service from U300 to U200 (in order to afford the recent price increases). I assume the sales person on the phone gave me the lowest available U200 baseline rate ($127) along with the best available loyalty discount for the next 12 months. But, without published standard baseline rates, I can only assume.

Doing some quick searchs
U200 start of 2017 was $85 with $3 increase in Mid January to $88.
This was STANDARD definition with HD extra $$ and local broadcast fee of $7
did not look for price increases in 2018 or 2019.
Price increase in 2020 Ufamily $3, U200 $5, U300 $5, U450 $7 Broadcast fee +$2
Price increase in 2021 Ufamily $5, U200 $8, U450 $9
Price increase in 2022 Ufamily $5, U200 $7, U300 $8, U450 $8
without price increases of 2018/2019 have 88+5+8+7 for $108 STANDARD ADD HD $10 would be $118.
If believe price increase of $4 and $5 for two missing years your right where I would expect.
As your listed as ALL INCLUDED at $127, standard (non HD) would be $117.
Hope this helps…
edit… back when Uverse IPTV was being offered if clicked details button on the promos would list the retail pricing that would be charged after 12 months. In effect billing should have shown retail pricing followed by monthly discount for net pricing.
This was the same in all markets, the internet pricing changes by market but to my knowledge the tv packages were the same.
Some promos that might have been unique could include free extra receivers instead of billable including free wireless receivers without the one time $49 charge per wireless set top box.
Installation was free on all Uverse packages Ufamily and above but had a $99 installation charge on UBasic. UBasic also did not include FREE DVR but was extra $15 if someone wanted to record or have DVR functions such as Rewind or Fast Forward, Pause of live TV.

The only thing AT&T give me was a discount of $50 a month but they took that off because they've been messing around with my TV and when they did that they started up another plan which was the same old plan and now they want me to call back every month and tell him that they need to take my monthly $50 off of my acount

Well I'm going to just keep calling them back and telling him what's going on with my service and Sunday they'll get tired of blowing me off and actually fix the problem and give me a discount seeing that I have so much time involved with it cancels appointments things that they told me that he's going to do they didn't do and the list goes on and more time on the telephone but I am 67 years old and I can't do anything else so I'm just going to sit here and tell him what's going on

I have been with AT&T Uverse for at least 20 years. I have U300 & Internet, I have two loyalty discounts and still pay $194 a month (that includes tax). That's way too expensive now, so thinking about changing to DirecTV Streaming. Anyone have comments on streaming?
