Dishonest pricing
Called today to cancel service due to high cost. Total bill currently $237.63 vs Spectrum offer of $106.97 for same TV, faster internet, and landline. Customer retention put me on hold after I explained why I was cancelling. While on hold received e-mail from AT&T telling me my plan has changed....new total $126.93. Rep came back on line and I thanked him for the price reduction, decided to stay with AT&T even though a little more expensive than Spectrum to avoid the hassle of changing. 4 hours later get another e-mail from AT&T telling me plan has changed again? Signed back in and now, my plan will cost $175.87!!! Called AT&T and asked (Edited per community guidelines)? Response was that they automatically sent that other price quote while it was being researched on their end, and that was not the real price....seriously? Escalated to supervisor, who confirmed....yes, AT&T LIED TO ME WHEN THEY QUOTED THE EARLIER PRICE! Not a mistake mind you, just a flat out lie that is baked in to their process...and that they won’t stand by the quote that they sent to me, in writing! Wow......
Switching to Spectrum first thing tomorrow.

It's a miracle that you got any kind of discount considering that they are trying to phase Uverse out and discounts of any kind are few and far between.

Haha....true, but it’s one thing to discourage a customer from staying by being uncompetitive on price, but then, be honest and tell me to take it or leave it. Don’t waste my time with a flat out lie with a lower price to keep me, and then jack that agreed upon price back up by 30% a few hours later. The jokes on them....I am the president of an HOA and we share our experiences and deals....AT&T has about 50 cancellations coming! 😂😂

That 102/offer with spectrum doesn't include a 16.45 broadcast charge/mo and a 21/mo charge for the receiver/DVR plus about 5 bucks in taxes. so your 102/mo offer is really about 144/mo and that is only for the first year, then you are right back in the same boat. Oh and BTW if you can't do self-installation yourself add a one-time fee of 49.99
