Do I still pay $449 credit management fee when canceling the service within 30days?
I canceled u-verse cable tv service due to the credit management fee and returned the all equipment back within 30days. do I have to pay 449 dollars still?

Assuming you paid it to get Uverse installed, it's a NON-REFUNDABLE fee, that should explain what you are getting back. 😉

I didn't pay it yet. but the bill statement on website still shows $449 is due. I don't want to pay it. I 've already canceled the service. Any way to avoid?

The company charged me the same. I have a final balance and assumed they would credit the deposit to my remaining balance. They kept putting me on hold to discuss with others and eventually hung up on me. I am making a complaint to the Texas Attorney General for deceptive trade practice act violation. You will also need to make a complaint to FTC that handles these cases. You could also file your own DTPA case. I just know I am going the routes mentioned above. The more complaints they get on the same issue will launch an investigation and hopefully get our money returned at some point. Record future contact with ATT if you can. I use evernote to record.
