Door to Door Salesmen do not observe NO SOLICITING sign. EVER.

AT&T. Get it together. Door to door sales are outdated and irritating to everyone. Today the same group of 3 men showed up at my door TWICE and rang the bell, repeatedly, wanting me to switch to AT&T. In 2008 I had a problem with this which was reported to the BBB. At that time, AT&T claimed door to door sales people would no longer bother my family. But today EACH of them did not know what no soliciting means and came by TWICE for high pressure sales. This is unacceptable.

Door to door sales personnel are NOT AT&T employees but are employeed by a third party marketing firm.

If your town or city requires D2D permits, ask them if they have that permit on their person.  Otherwise, don't answer the door.

In addition to skeeter's advice, find out what company these people work for and contact that company directly.

Open the door with a pistol in your hand and tell them to leave, then remind them not to cut across the grass.  Works for me.

My grandmother often answered the door with a handgun...seriously.

Just dealt with a VERY rude aggressive door to door salesman. I have AT&T phone service but my internet and cable are through another provider. Although I stated several times I was not interested, the young man continued to ask "why" and basically insinuated I was a fool for not wanting to "save money" with U-verse. I finally repeated once more I wasn't interested and shut the door. I was so angry I considered calling AT&T to cancel the services I do have! They say they contract third parties for door to door sales. So what?!?! These people represent the AT&T brand.  AT&T, you need to rethink this NEGATIVE sales strategy!

I made a sign with this verbage and taped it above my doorbell.  I seldom get D2D people....just the occasional kid selling candy but I'll give them a pass.
