No. ATT rep said they are not responsible and unable to help with the government tax.
It just concerns me that I would have government taxes and fees posted twice on 1 bill and my last bill was the only time this has occurred in the 10 months I've had service with them.
Yes this sounds odd to me also, please send us a message using the link in my first reply and one of our specialist will be happy to take another look.
Yes, this has been an ongoing issue with me for the past 7 months now. I have 4 phones for family members. First, att charged for services never requested/authorized by one family member (who never uses the phone)--got the charges removed and credited. The next month, same phone was double taxed for city district sales tax, city sales tax, and state sales tax. It already had telecom tax charges for the same. No other phones were charged the double taxes. I called and got it removed. The following month, att began charging double taxes on another family member's phone. When I called, they refused to remove them and only gave me an investigation number. Nothing was removed. I have been calling every month and nothing gets removed. The "tax department" has ignored the calls and emails and I am never able to speak to a supervisor. Now they're charging me an additional $5.00 late fee, because I refuse to pay the additional taxes they charge. I'm going to another phone service. And I buy all my phones outright (it ends up costing less over the 1 or 2 year period as they add taxes each month for the "payment" of the phone--sneaky). I really don't want to buy new phones, but I'll do what I need to get better customer service and less bills.
