Equipment damaged and lost in Harvey flood
My apartment building was destroyed and the equipment was lost in the flooding during Hurricane Harvey. I called to canceled the service, however, I will be charged $150 for each piece of equipment. The building was so damaged no one was allowed to enter. My daughter has Comcast, which waived all charges for the equipment lost. As a renter, I did have rental insurance, but it did not cover flooding. Is there anyway these charges can be waived?

This is a situation i didnt think of until you posted. there must be 100s of thousands of boxes floating around, im curious to see how at&t will address this in the near future.will they require you to submit a claim with your homeowners/renters insurance? write the boxes off as losses? only time will tell.

When I spoke to them, they said it would be removed.. spoke to 3-4 people who all said the same thing.. but it's still in my account. Don't know if it's a waiting game or if they genuinely will remove the $150 charge for "Force Majeure". We will see how it's handled.
