Finally cut the cord! Bye, Bye ATT! Oh what a feeling!

I finally cut the cord from ATT.! I'm so HAPPY! Bye, Bye ATT!! df ATT is going to price themselves out of business!

Last year I got my bill reduced from over $200 to $92 for TV / Internet. I had to call and tell them to reduce or I was cutting the cord and should have done so at the time but decided to stay. Well 12 months passed and I receive my March bill and it increased $34.88 ($96.61 > $131.49) April bill comes and it increases again by $88.97 ($131.49 > $220.46). So in two months my bill went up $123.85 ($96.61 > $220.46) with no changes in service! Unbelievable!! In this COVID-19 environment you would think they would just hold pricing to assist their customers through these financially hard times but ATT is just pure greedy!

So I call to see if they can reduce my service costs. I was offered $60 less per month for the bundle for the year or $100 for 3 months which I believe was for TV only. Seriously! That's less than 1/2 of the increase! What a joke! No concern for customers during COVID-19 and definitely NOT competitive to other products (e.g. Hulu, YouTubeTV, HDTV antennae with Plex, etc. that you can get for $50 a month + internet for a total of less than $100.

I had Internet 1000 Fiber for $73 bundled which would go up to $99 without the TV bundle. They offered 300MB for $69 which I took for now but will be going with Spectrum as soon as I can get it installed. Spectrum offers 200MB for $44.99 or $64.99 for 400MB out the door with no additional fees.

And Uverse mobile has to be the worst mobile TV solution on the market. You can't watch any major network channels, or DVR recordings even when your on your home Uverse network. And the viewing performance of cable networks is poor and inconsistent with may errors. I finally got ATT to admit that network channels were not supported due to bandwidth issues. How is it that other providers allow network access with no bandwidth issue? Is ATT that technically incompetent or again just greedy to not support the infrastructure required but charge customers as if they have the service?!

I had Intenet 1000 Fiber for $73 bundled. which would go up to $99 without TV bundle. They offered 300MB for $69 which I took for now but will be going with Spectrum as soon as I can get it installed. Spectrum 200MB for $44.99 or $64.99 for 400MB out the door with no additional fees

I'm not sure what AT&T's strategy is but it's not competitive and way overpriced! There is definitely no strategy to reward and retain existing customers. The only offer pricing deals to new customers. One wonders when they're going to wake up to their overpricing, and non-competitive products. I'm sure the cord cutters are increasing every day as customers will no longer put up with the cost and inferior product offerings.

We'll see if I have any issues with returning equipment via UPS as others have. It wouldn't surprise me if I did. I'm going to make sure I take pictures and document the entire return process as I don't trust ATT in the return process.
