Fixed One Year Promotions

I am at the end of a two year landline/U-verse/Internet bundle contract with ATT.   I do not like having to pin myself to one-year promotion after being in a two year contract.   Why can't ATT offer plans that have no month clause in it after living out a two year contract?   If you can't offer plans without pinning customers to one-year promotion plans, can you let us leave without early termination fees?   Being stuck with your promotion plans for two years is long enough to make it worth your while getting paid for the service we have had.  

The service we have had has not been without a lot of pains to smooth out many problems.   I also do not like the way my bill total is not exactly what I signed up for two years ago.   I have spent many hours on a monthly basis fighting to keep my bill total down to what I agreed on two years ago.   I won't pay a bill if it is not correct and I have spent hours on monthly basis at some times during my contract to talk to customer service.  I do not want to be pinned for another year.
