Forced Choice of Services
I live in an apartment complex; the property manager has forced all the tenants in this complex to get Dish Network as the television services; we aren't allowed to choice who we want as a provider; are there any rules that prohibit them for forcing us to get a particular service?

Is your apartment serviced by any cable company like Comcast or Brighthouse?
They can include the price of DirecTV in your rent but if there other options (ie: cable), you can get their service. Of course, you'd be paying for both but they can't stop you from getting a different provider if it's available.
My daughter lived in an apartment that "included" Comcast in the rent. It was in the lease so they had no choice. She could have gotten a satellite dish installed on the balcony but she'd be paying for both.
"Federal law...bars either DirecTV ...from cutting deals to keep the other out of apartments or developments."
