HBO Max for free?

I am currently a U-verse 200 subscriber with HBO. I just wanted to confirm that I will be eligible for HBO Max streaming service for free when it launches in late May. If so, will it be free for a limited time or unlimited (as long as I am an HBO subscriber)?

@ATTHelp I’m still a little confused. I’m an HBO subscriber but I have U-verse 200, not 400 or 450. So will I get HBO Max free as well?

Hey @JereBen,

U200 is not part of the line up for free access to HBO max. Let us know if that  answers your question.

So even though I also have HBO through U-verse, I won’t get HBO Max free? The MyAT&T app states: “AT&T customers with an HBO subscription will be able to access the HBO Max app at no extra charge using their AT&T User ID and password.”

We're here to help with your HBO subscription, @Just1ne.

Here is more information to help troubleshoot your HBO sign in. Scroll down to the Have AT&T service that includes HBO section to confirm you are using the right user ID. After confirming that, proceed to the sign in solutions section for steps on how to redeem your HBO offer with your qualifying plan.

Let us know if this helps or if you need further assistance with this.

@Just1ne

I don’t believe U200 qualifies for free.   It’s possible the service was made available for a short duration but that time has passed.  I can confirm for you I do not have it either on U200.

U-200 doesn't get HBO Max unless the customer subscribes to HBO.

Internet 1000 customers get it included, but they have to make a separate HBO Max account and then link it to their AT&T account.

It's a bit confusing, but I get Internet 1000 and U-200. I get HBO Max because of my Internet 1000 subscription, regardless of what TV package I have, or even if I have U-Verse. I can switch my TV provider to anyone else and as long as I keep Internet 1000, I keep HBO Max, although I may lose the linear HBO TV channels.

Other fiber internet customers (may?) get a free trial such as one or three months, but this may no longer be an option.

HBO customers generally get HBO Max included with their HBO subscription, regardless of how they subscribe to HBO.
