How can I connect with a customer service rep in the United States?
There seems to be something lost in communication when I speak with your reps overseas. I've had 3-4 calls with AT&T reps in other countries and I no longer wish to deal with them. The one call I had with a rep in the US was a pleasure to speak with. I want that experience because I'm in need of making a 5th call to TRY and remedy the same original complaint. Each call lasts around 40 minutes and is quite exhausting.

How do I PM? How about a phone?? I prefer to speak on the phone. Much more efficient that Pm or e-mail. Do you have a phone number?

Call 1 800 288 2020. If you get a rep from overseas you can ask them to transfer you to an agent in the US. They have a special number to transfer to a US agent and are required to do so if you ask.

Click in the hyperlink (@ATTU-verseCare) in the post you replied to. If you provide your number and the best time (near office hours) to reach you, they will normally call you back.

I have called to understand my bill three times. Each time I was connected to the Philippines or Asia. WE DON'T WANT TO TALK TO SUPPORT IN OTHER COUNTRIES!!!! I asked them to transfer me to a US Rep and they said they couldn't do that. What the heck? Maybe AT&T should just focus on Asia and give up their US business to people in the actual US.

I have made 5 calls this morning , asking for a US Representative, and each time I am told that there is no way to talk to a US representative. How can I speak to someone in the USA?

Thank you! I have read the postcard to the off-shore representatives, but
they are not able to understand what to do to help. My number is

I am have the same scenario as the original poster here. We've spent nearly 10 hours trying to deal with connecting new service. Today our appointment was cancelled by a technician and rescheduled without notice after we took time off from work to meet said technician for the appointment which was then set up for 8PM next Monday without even asking us. Of course that appointment had to be cancelled too because installation can't occur at our new house at that time. We've used Uverse for 10 years at our current home. I don't understand why this is so complicated. Last week, our service including all phone, internet and Uverse was disconnect at our current home without order. 7/10 hours was spent having everything reconnected.

@alwaysbroken, you have made a post an a public forum provided for AT&T users to communicate with other AT&T users. You should not post your full name or any identifying or private information such as your telephone number in such a forum.
While AT&T employees do look at forum posts from time to time, you should have no expectation that any particular action will come from such a post.
You should send a Private Message (PM) to help you resolve your request. You can expect a reply via return PM (the blue envelope in the upper right hand corner of this site, next to your avatar and name) in a business day or three. You can speed things up by including your name, Billing Account Number and the best way and time to reach you.

I can't believe a Big Company like AT&T treats customers the way they do. I had called 11 times this morning and the agents in Indonesia Philipines or wherever they are don't understand and have you answering the same questions time and time again. Why can't they just pay people in the United States to do the job. Is GREED the reason. it is unbearable to go through this. They need to do something about their customer service.

It does not matter if I call during USA business hours or not. No USA rep, and the off-shore reps refuse to transfer. I agree with Donna!

I am so sick of US companies touting about how they support the US olympic teams and their communities but yet don't support the US workers. I called, asked for a US rep, he continued to badger me into finding out what I needed. I kept insisiting on a US rep. He forwards my call, I ask the girl what state she is in, she says the Carribean, I asked for a US rep and she hung up on me. AT&T, If you like using foreign workers so much, pack up your crap and move out of our country. Let an American take over your areas in your absence, we would all be much happier! Get a clue AT&T, we are American, will always be American and are getting tired of you forcing us to talk to other countries to replace your shoddy equipment! We all know you are charging way too much for the services you provide, we also know you can afford to hire here in the US that you claim such fabulous fake support of!!!!!

This wasn't about me working for them, I have a full time job, infact I have a full time and a part time job and I also volunteer at the animal shelter. I work hard for my money. Money that should stay in this country and help our fellow Americans. This is about a company based in the US providing understandable customer service by people living here that need jobs. Who claims to help communites and supports our Olympic team but takes away their jobs and are more concerned with their bottom line. But thanks for the info, but unfortunately, as I've found today, even if they hired me, no one would ever get to me, until they went through India or Thailand first, and if lucky after 5 tranfers they may get to me lol
