How do I report a fallen phone line?

I am not an AT&T customer but the telephone line between the poles behind my house has fallen and will break soon. How do I report it to AT&T so they can fix it?

Hi all,

We see this post is getting a few views. You can call our line group at 800.924.9420. You do not need to be an AT&T account holder to report line issues. Find more information about exposed lines and wires.

Thank you for the reply but I already tried that. The (dumb) phone menu won't proceed without a phone number associated with an AT&T account. As I said, I'm not an AT&T customer and cannot report the falling line that way.

@austex23   Contact ATT Customer Care on the link in my signature below, by Need Help?

Send them a Private Message, on this link, and they should be able to give the help needed to solve your falling line problems. Many times these are answered by FB/Twitter Soc Media Managers, available late nites, weekends.

Include your name, address, email address and a good phone # (land or cell) and time to contact you on.

Check the blue PM envelope, upper right on every page, for their reply, possibly by email instead. They can do more than any phone rep and stick w/it till it's done. Good luck 😉

I've reported a major highway line that is down and laying on my property.  It's been over 3 weeks now and although two work orders were allegedly issued, nothing has happened.  I can't get into my property because the line is blocking the drive way.  I can access from the back of the property but its a pain.

I'm about to call the sheriff and report the line and and attached equipment laying on my property as a criminal trespass- since AT&T has been advised of the problem and failed to take any corrective action to remove its equipment.

I have the same problem here in Painesville ohio . I know it belongs to at&t because first the electric company came out and it didn't belong to them they said it was cable company's so I called Spectrum they came out and checked the pole and discovered it to be at&t . What a joke trying to call at&t . They want you to be available to contact they treat you as if you work for the company. Hey news flash I am not sitting home for you to fix your cable laying on the ground in an apartment complex with kids. What a terrible company they have no concern for safety of kids or animals. They should not be allowed to use the poles in the first place.
