How to UNLINK my Wireless Services & my DirecTVSTREAM services at www.att.com/acctmgmt/ ?

I want to UNLINK my wireless services AND my DirecTVSTREAM services at www.att.com/acctmgmt/ .   There are not links or instructions on how to do this AND there are no people available in Wireless Mobility Services or Combined Billing or DirecTV Billing that can assist. People just keep sending me back and forth to 800-288-2020 and 877-999-1085.  Escallation to next level support has not been of assistance.   Mobility Tech says this is a DirecTV problem, but they don't seem to know how to do it.

We do understand how important it is to be able to remove a linked account, GreerGDTx. We are here to help!

To remove a linked account:

  1. Go to your myAT&T Profile. Sign in if asked.
  2. Scroll to Account Settings and select Linked accounts.
  3. Choose Remove this account for the account you want to unlink. If you try to remove a canceled account with a balance due, we’ll ask you to make a payment.
  4. Select one of these, if asked:
    • A secondary user to replace you as the primary user
    • No one
  5. Choose a new primary account, if asked.
  6. Follow the directions to remove the account from your ID.

Heads up: There are certain types of accounts you can’t remove. These include:

  • Suspended accounts
  • Combined accounts (multiple services on the same account number)—if you have primary online access. Learn about primary and secondary online access.
  • U-verse TV or AT&T Internet accounts, if you have primary online access

Try this and let us know how it goes!

Nice try, but your suggested fix does not work.

Under my profile page there is no "Account Settings" tab.  There is an "Account" button and a "Settings" button, but neither one has a "Linked Accounts" button.  Therefore, I am UNABLE TO NAVIGATE to a "Remove this Account" button in order to UNLINK my two services, ie,. my ATT Wireless account AND my DirecTV Streaming account.

I have now spent probably 5 to 6 hours on the phone with probably 11 different people over two different days trying to UNLINK MY ATT WIRELESS ACCOUNT AND MY DIRECTV STREAM ACCOUNT.  PLEASE ELEVATE THIS ISSUE TO THE APPROPRIATE SUPPORT DEPARTMENT.

HELP PLEASE !

If I could get the appropriate support person on the line, I would be more than happy to share my screen and demonstrate what actually shows up in My Profile and related web pages.

To my understanding, I really need to speak to the support department that is responsible for the web programming of "https://www.att.com/acctmgmt/accountoverview" which is where my "linked" accounts show up.  Based on the multiple discussions that I have had with both  "wireless," "DirecTV," and "Mobility" personnel, they do not have the capacity or access to UNLINK my accounts.

Please Help !

Solution determined with help from Junella in Digital Assistance.

To Unlink or UnCombine ATT.com and Stream.DirecTV.com accounts being shown together, you must have separate Login ID's for each website. This will mean that you will need to create a NEW Login ID in one of the websites and delete the original Login ID in that site.

1.  Make sure you know what the common Login ID is for both websites.

2.  Create a NEW LoginID for one of the websites and make sure it will get you in.

Note:  In the process of creating new Login ID's you will probably still have the old password in place, even though you did change the Login ID.

3.  In the website where you created the NEW Login ID, DELETE the original common Login ID.

4.  You should now be able to login to ATT.com with Login ID "A" and be able to login to Stream.DirecTV.com with Login ID "B".

Because of the shared code between ATT and Stream.DirecTV, you may see BOTH Login ID's in the "Select User ID List."  Just you make sure you select the correct User ID.

I hope this helps....
