I am thinking about U-Verse and of course I have questions

My house uses coax for its networking system. It would not be too difficult for me to run phone line or cat 5?6 to all tv locations. Would this be benificial? Or is coax ok?

Coax can be used as long as it's RG-6 and the ends will likely have to be changed to compression, crimped won't work on Uverse.

If the coax can't be used, I'd suggest cat5e to all the locations, the prem tech can put the ends on as they are used to doing that from a bulk roll on many installs   Also any cable splitters will have to be changed to 1.5Ghz splitters ATT uses and a diplexer added to the mix.

Personally I'm a cat5e/patch cable fan, I've not had 1 cabling problem in more than 4 3/4 years on Uverse, coax can develop problems.
