I never received $100 Rewards Visa Card, never receved $10 card for paperleass billing

Hello, I never received my $100 Rewards Visa Card for ordering Uverse Internet online and I NEVER received the $10 card for going paperless as was promised. I NEVER received a physical letter thru the USPS or any emails at all to activate any of the reward cards I was promised.

 

Now, when I call in I get the automated system which says that there is a reward on our account but when I speak with an agent (Amanda) in the Rewards Center they say that if you do not receive a letter they give you an extension of 4 months. Yet how can I have any clue as to a time period when I received absolutely NOTHING from AT&T to tell me of one. Basically Amanda said their was nothing she could do, the offer is expired.

 

Then I asked who can help me, she transferred me to Rex in the Uverse Billing Dept who after a very lengthy discussion and I had asked to speak to his supervisor after going nowhere he said that with the help of his supervisor Michael they would compensate me 1/2 of the reward. He said that would come to $50. 

 

So I lose out on $60 ($50 from ordering Uverse online & the $10 card for doing the paperless billing) because AT&T FAILED to send me any notification whatsoever. Supervisor Michael said that it was AT&T's initiative to give the rewards card and it was not a mandate for AT&T! And Supervisor Michael said that it was all beyond his control.  

 

I asked to speak with Michael's supervisor & he said that that would not help.  After several minutes Michael finally said he has many managers and he would transfer me to one of them. He would not give me any of the names of any of the managers whatsoever or a phone number.

 

Then wouldn't you know it after being on hold for 15 minutes waiting for Michael’s manager to come on the line HE HUNG UP ON ME.  Wow that was unexpected!

 

Plain & simple; we just want AT&T to please honor the promised $100 reward card and $10 card for going paperless.

ATT honors nothing.  Their Uverse stinks.  The customer service people seem only there to deflect you into lalaland and away from the company which only seems to want to collect your money and not deal with any problems.  My neighbor and I have been going around with them for YEARS about their lousy uverse service and have gotten nowhere.  And because they have changed all their lines to some fiber optic broadband thing? other service providers cannot offer service in our area or I would have switched pronto! No one I know likes att.

Hello BayouWoman,

I'm sorry to hear that you have had years of exasperating struggles with AT&T. 

 

We put in a compaint with the FCC online yesterday.  Today we had a phone call message and an email from AT&T while we were out wanting to speak with us regarding our issue.  I think we have AT&T's attention now.  Hopefully it will all be resolved soon.

 

It's a shame they cannot honor their advertising and the incentives they offer in the first place.  We would not be in the situation of having to involve the FCC if they did.

My FCC complaint with AT&T has now been resolved 100% within 48 hours.

 

I received a call this morning from the Office of the President of AT&T & spoke with a very pleasant lady who stated that I am being credited for the full $110 on my account. She investigated & verified that I was never sent a letter for the rewards.  She apologized for all the problems I had with this issue.

 

Then I received another call about 10 minutes later from a different person, also from the Office of the President of AT&T, who made sure I had been contacted by someone in their office, and he apologized for the poor customer service I received from their manager.

Hello ATTU-verseCare,

If you read my initial post I stated that I spoke with the Rewards Center to no avail. I tried all of that. It was found that AT&T never sent the letter to me as investigated & verified by the Office of the President of AT&T.

 

Thanks for trying to help though.

 

My issue has now been resolved.
