Internet Service
I have been trying to get UVERSE internet or DSL internet since I moved into my new home @ *****, Bloomfield, IN ***** a few weeks ago.
After being generally treated like crap and given completely inconsistent information from over one dozen service representatives, I still can't get internet service installed.
I live on a State Highway and my neighbors on the same side of the highway both north (farther from the city) and to the south (closer to the city) have UVERSE. Other neighbors off the highway have DSL.
A service technician named Justin came to my nextdoor neighbors home - ***** - yesterday. This service technician says UVERSE is absolutely available even though my neighbors are being told it is not and they still have DSL. At least they have DSL, though, while I, who live closer to the city and inbetween people who all have ATT interent, can't even get that!
This is a situation where people sitting in a cubicle thousands of miles away and barely speaking English simply don't know what they are talking about. ATT's address database is full of obvious glitches and problems. The service technician - Justin - verified that UVERSE is available specifically at my house - he had done UVERSE installs recently on the same side of the highway both north and south of me. He also verified that a DSL line runs right through my front yard. Yet ATT's robots disagree becase "*****" pops up as not eligible in the database. BULL!
I want a call ASAP @ ***** to arrange for a service technician to come to my home and debunk the false information I am getting. I am an ATT wireless and DirectTV subsriber. I deserver better customer care than I've gotten. This is absurd.

@lmrudisi, as others have posted, you have made a post an a public forum provided for AT&T users to communicate with other AT&T users. You should not post your full name or any identifying or private information such as your phone number in such a forum. While AT&T employees do look at forum posts from time to time, you should have no expectation that any particular action will come from such a post (e.g. contacting you will most likely not happen).
You should instead click this U-verse Customer Service link to send a Private Message (PM) to the AT&T customer service team and ask them to create an Address Validation Case on your behalf. You can expect a reply via return PM (the blue envelope in the upper right hand corner of this site, next to your name and avatar) in a business day or three. You can speed things up by including your name, complete service address, Billing Account Number and the best way and time to reach you. As a bit of advice on this PM, I find that you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Just sayin'.
This is a group of U-verse service specialists who are knowledgeable about U-verse and will stay with your problem until the end (instead of forgetting about it when the phone hits the cradle).
