Lawn destroyed after installment of fiber cable
Hello,
ATT recently installed a fiber cable in our fromt yard and destroyed the property. They also damaged my sprinkler system and I have not been able to use it. A gentleman came over to the house back in April and took pictures. We have a claim number with Sedgwick that I have been trying to contact for the last two months and have not been successful. I have e-mailed Emily as well (from Sedwick) multiple times with pictures and a description of the damage and she has not replied (first e-mail sent in April). I have been an ATT customer for about 6 years since I moved to this city and it is ridiculous that they don't take the time to reply.
I hope you guys can help me out as I would really like to get my yard and sprinkler system repaired.
Thanks

Hello, I had a similar problem. I have called a few times, but can't seem to get to anyone who will help. I talked with one of the technicians who came by to install my fiber connection and he said all the digging is done by contractors and that he could not help me. The contractors brought a tractor into my backyard and dug a hole next to my garage on uneven ground, which is resulting in erosion. Would someone be able to help me out?

Shame on you AT&T for going on peoples property and ruining their properties and not fixing them in a timely manner. It’s been 3 months since you broke my driveway. You referred me to Sedgwick to Luna Garcia , lg564v@att.com, and she does not answer her emails, phone calls and when you are lucky enough to get her on the phone, she is rude and evasive.

I just got home from work and found my brand new sod pulled up in the middle of winter for installation of a cable. Not only did they rip up the sod but they left dirt all over and piled tree roots on the grass. I’ve been working all year to get the grass healthy and they rip it out without consultation or courtesy. I am not the ATT customer requesting the cable, but unfortunately live in a corner lot. I haven’t run my sprinklers yet but I wouldn’t be surprised if they nicked one as they didn’t even spray for heads or ask where the lines were located. Wasted time and money if ATT doesn’t make it right.

My yard and brand new irrigation system were also damaged in Huntersville, NC by the subcontractor who replaced the line. I have called repeatedly to the # they provided...only to result in no answer...just rings and rings. I have also tried contacting the company through their website....and no response. I am furious and will be reaching out to an attorney to file damages. Does anyone in the Charlotte area know who to contact for resolution? I know I am not alone based on what I am seeing on various forums.
Thanks!

The first thing you should do is check with your local taxing authority to confirm where the utility easement lies on your property.
If the work was done within that easement, there's not a lot you can do. If the work and subsequent damage was done OUTSIDE of the utility easement, contact information is HERE
