Moving DSL to new address

We're moving and currently very happy with DSL. The address we're moving to has been upgraded to Uverse by previous owners. So now I'm told that I cannot keep my DSL and can only get Uverse at our new address. Thanks for any feedback.

If the VRAD servicing your new house location has been upgraded to support U-Verse, the older equipment for supporting DSL would have been removed, or scheduled to be removed, so you would need to subscribe to U-Verse service to get HSI there. Is there any special reason you don't want U-Verse there? I can't see a reason for wanting DSL over U-Verse, but you may have something I have not thought about.

Getting Uverse is more expensive overall and we don't want to pay more for internet. Thanks for your input, we will be looking for another internet provider.
