Moving to other side of town with no AT&T Fiber service, must pay ETF anyway

Hello,

I've been enjoying my lightning fast AT&T Fiber connection for the past several months. Unfortunately, I need to move to the North side of town, where no Fiber service exists. A chat rep mentioned that I would need to pay an ETF fee of $120 or alternatively, "suspend" the account for 9 months, paying $7/mo, and then I could cancel the service with no fees.  I was almost positive that I read that if there was no service at the location where I am moving to, there would be no ETF because it's not MY fault that AT&T has no service in the new neighborhood. This decision left a bad taste in the mouth that will almost certainly sway me from returning to AT&T, should it become available in the future.

Please help,

Moving North

There is no Fiber service. Uverse availability is moot. The 1000 mbps I was receiving with AT&T Fiber is not even close to the same tier of as what Uverse can offer.
