paying what i owe
Hello,
Last month I paid what I owed , not what was billed. For the honor of lying to me and not honoring they deal they gave me, they gave me a couple months of Uverse 450... but I had to cancel it by a certain date. I don't even watch TV (wife does) but I made sure I cancelled it.
Their billing dept said otherwise (and I refuse to talk to John Smith in India anymore), so I paid what I had the previous month. This month is even more. What kind of you know what is going on? So I will make another payment just like before. If this is not fixed and I get shut off, I guarantee you will never here from me again... sue me, collections, whatever... I have done nothing wrong. I am not out to rip off anybody and always pay my bills on time. I refuse to pay something that is not right though, and I have tried to resolve this more than I should with a top American corporation. This is just not right. All I want is the deal I signed up with, or the same exact one you offer for $75/month online. ATT should be able to handle this.

If you don't pay your bill in full, you're going to have problems. Luckily, that's easily avoidable. If you are still being billed for the U450 (your bill tells you what package you have), then your first order of business is to get that fixed. Since it seems you refuse to talk with the customer service people able to do this for you, you should send a private message to AT&T care using the link below. After you get that issue corrected, then you can talk to someone about adjusting the bills you haven't paid in full.

1. I know what I am being billed for and what package I have.
2. I refuse to play "who's on first" with the customer service in India.
3. Already talked to customer service america who are looking into the matter.
4. Still paying what I owe not what is billed.

There is no customer service in India, there is tech support in the Philippines that I have never had any trouble getting things fixed/replaced. 😉

I feel for you man. They are like a big circus act and pretty much every department is a joke! When I call with billing questions, I expect to speak to billing department HERE in the US, not Phillipines! How is billing department all of a sudden Sales trying to upsale you? How is getting TV service with Uverse going to fix my bill?
Next time I have to deal with the clowns, I'm going to get their full name, employee ID and get whatever it is in writing, If they don't come through on what was agreed upon and the bill does not reflect that, then they will be considered in Breach on contract and I will have the right to terminate service without penalties and they shall be responsible for crediting the last bill.
I think what needs to happen is for the FCC and the FTC to come down HARD on AT&T Something drastic has to happen to get this company to change their ways!

Americangamer is someone who volunteers his time to help other AT&T customers. He's not something "ATT can do." MicCheck (another AT&T customer) gave you a link which would put you in contact with an escalation group of AT&T employees who could actually assist you. If you just want to keep posting on this peer-to-peer forum and see what happens, knock yourself out.
If, on the other hand, you'ld like the resolution to your issue, then click this
Customer Service link to send a Private Message (PM) to that AT&T customer service team to help you resolve your issue. (This is basically the same link MicCheck posted.) You can expect a reply via return PM (the blue envelope
in the upper right hand corner of this site, next to your avatar and name) in a business day or three. Speed things up by including your Billing Account Number, and the best time and way to reach you.

Is now a bad time to mention that I'm 30 with 2 kids, and have a great job in the space industry?
Do you review books by the cover too or is it just people?
